In 2006, Terri experienced a glassblowing class, a gift from her husband. Immediately, she was addicted. Taking a class during each summer, she spent two long years building studio equipment: an electric furnace, gas gloryholeand annealer. Chaotic Joy Glass was crafted.
The chaos and joy comes together in Asheville, NC, as Terri navigates motherhood and a passion for glass. Often, she works as a teaching assistant or studies at the Corning Museum of Glass under the lineage of Venetian masters in the US and Murano, Italy. She is a life-long student of glass with an emphasis on Venetian and Scandinavian art. Terri produces functional and non-functional art, focusing on unique murrine and cane, drawing from art history.
Thank you for sharing her passion!
